2 Modes: Root Canal Orifice finder and Apex Locator
Root Canal Orifice Finder (MHN Mode)
- Effective even on the most calcified canals!
- Also locates the pulp chamber.
This mode revolutionizes the process of locating heavily calcified root canals, surpassing the limitations of traditional techniques. It supports two key applications during root canal treatment:
A/ Pulp chamber localization during access cavity preparation : minimizes excessive dentin removal and prevents damage to the pulp chamber floor.
How it works:
1- Prepare the access cavity.
2- Isolate and dry the tooth.
3- Attach the lip hook to the patient and connect the clip to an endodontic explorer.
4- Place the explorer tip at the estimated center of the pulp chamber and check:
0.00–1.00: No connection, remove more dentin.
2.00–3.00: Connection detected, cautiously remove dentin.
Above 3.00: Pulp chamber located, safely enlarge access.
B/ Locating heavily calcified root canal orifices : often difficult to visualize with conventional methods.
How it works:
1- Clean the pulp chamber.
2- Attach the lip hook and clip to an endodontic explorer.
3- Dry the pulp floor.
4- Position the explorer near the estimated orifice and check:
0.00–1.00: No connection, remove more dentin or explore other areas.
2.00–3.00: Probable orifice, expose canal by removing dentin.
Above 3.00: Orifice confirmed, insert a manual file and estimate working length.
